What Are the Benefits of Community Participation in Disability Support?

Do your clients want to explore the world?

Catch up with friends more often?

Or simply enjoy a trip to the shops without the hassle?

Our Community Participation program is designed to help participants do more of what they love, with the right support to get them there. Whether it’s everyday errands or exciting adventures, we make it easier for them to stay connected, feel confident, and experience more.

Dominic's Story

When Dominic first joined ONCALL, social situations were overwhelming.

He avoided eye contact, kept to himself, and found group settings difficult. But beneath the surface was someone full of personality, just waiting for the right support and encouragement.

Through ONCALL’s Community Participation program, Dominic began building confidence in his own time. It started with simple moments.

A simple chat.

A shared laugh.

Or a walk to the park.

These everyday experiences helped him feel more comfortable, connected, and capable.

Today, Dominic is a completely different person.

He’s now employed at ONCALL, where he brings warmth, positivity, and valuable lived experience to our team.

Dominic works multiple jobs, goes to concerts, joins us at expos, expresses his creativity through art, and is always creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere at work.

Dominic’s journey is a true success story, showing what’s possible when someone is supported to step into their full potential.
