Melbourne’s disability community to receive the ultimate show experience – Melbourne Show Quiet Space!
Melbourne Royal Show and ONCALL understand the importance of providing a quiet space for people with disability, their families, and carers to take time away from the overwhelming hustle and bustle of the Melbourne Royal Show.
We are excited to announce that ONCALL will be supporting the Royal Melbourne Show 2022 with the ONCALL Disability Quiet Space.
ONCALL Disability Quiet Space
The ONCALL Disability Quiet Space is a collaboration between ONCALL and the Melbourne Royal Show. The space will bring inclusion to the fun and festivities of the much-loved annual event. It will provide a safe place for carers, support workers, families, and people with disability to rest, relax and reset.
The room will be fitted out with a range of high-tech multisensory equipment and activities designed to help calm and refocus. Complimentary hot drinks and water will also be available. We will also have support staff on hand to provide additional support if required.
Our aim is to provide the disability community with equal opportunity to enjoy the show – a right that should be available to all! With our mission to provide more support, to more people, in more places, the ONALL Disability Quiet Space at the Melbourne Royal Show is just the start.
When is the Melbourne Royal Show?
The Melbourne Royal Show is on from Thursday 22 September – Sunday 2 October 2022. Tickets are available here and kids 14 years and under get in for free! Tickets must be purchased online as no tickets will be available for purchase at the gate.
Where can I find the ONCALL Disability Quiet Space?
The ONALL Disability Quiet Space will be free to access and open to all people with disability, their families and carers.
We will be open from 9:30am to 7:30pm every day of the show.
You will find us on Level 1 in the Spotlight Makers Pavilion (enter from the Adventure Carnival side). Lift access will be available.
