Introducing PACE: Here’s what you need to know about the new NDIS system rollout.

In the realm of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), a new term is set to become a household name in 2023-2024: PACE. This innovative system marks a significant development, heralding a transformative shift in the way the NDIS operates.

At ONCALL, we are committed to providing you with peace of mind. We’re here to help. So we’re sharing an overview of what we’ve learnt so far.

PACE, designed by Salesforce to supersede Services Australia's SAP software, is more than an internal upgrade for the NDIA; it promises to redefine the NDIS experience for both participants and providers.

Let's explore the key features that make PACE a game-changer:

Expedited Payments for Participant-Endorsed Providers:

With PACE, participants have the power to choose their support team, ensuring quicker payment processing. Typically, endorsed providers receive payments within a swift 2-3 days, offering a streamlined financial experience.

Staggered Funding Releases for Added Transparency:

PACE introduces a transparent funding release system, providing a clear view of financial transactions. This ensures that funds are allocated appropriately and participants and providers are well-informed at every step.

Refined Support Categories for Enhanced Clarity:

PACE brings a refined categorization of support services, making it easier for participants to identify and access the specific assistance they require. This enhancement ensures a more precise and tailored approach to NDIS support.

Streamlined Claim Submission with Bulk Uploads:

Say goodbye to cumbersome claim submissions! PACE simplifies the process with bulk uploads, allowing providers to efficiently submit claims, saving time and effort while ensuring accuracy.

Intuitive, User-Friendly Portals for Providers and Participants:

PACE's user-friendly portals are designed with both providers and participants in mind. Navigating through the system is intuitive, providing a seamless experience for all users. This user-centric approach enhances accessibility and engagement within the NDIS platform.

One notable improvement PACE brings is the concept of 'participant-endorsed providers.' This empowers participants to select their support team, resulting in swifter payment processing—typically within 2-3 days. Non-endorsed providers may experience a longer waiting period of approximately 10 days.

But that's not all! PACE introduces modifications to support categories, introduces a new 'support type' labeled 'recurring,' and streamlines certain aspects for increased clarity—analogous to giving your living space a fresh arrangement.

As PACE readies to make its debut in your area, it's helpful to approach this transition with an open mind. Embracing these enhancements will undoubtedly lead to a more efficient and effective NDIS experience for all involved. If you need more information, head to the NDIS website direct.
