Since the idea for ONCALL began 40 years ago, we’ve been advocating for people in society that need it the most. That passion doesn’t stop in the disability and child, youth and family sectors. Our Out of Home Care team have been making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged young people and are experts and highly specialised. We all work together for positive outcomes for vulnerable young people.
Our Out of Home Care team responds when others can’t and work together with the DHHS to develop placement solutions that ensure the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children. Specialists in crisis care, we have an expert workforce dedicated to providing end to end support from emergency short term accommodation through to family re-unification, ensuring the child’s best interests are at the heart of every step.
Our specialist team has more than 20 years’ experience in child protection and Out of Home Care and have extensive experience and knowledge of statutory requirements, legislation and service direction. Our stringent recruitment process means we employ only the most experienced and specialised workers into our Out of Home Care team. As a DHHS registered Service Provider for Child Youth & Family Services, we provide security checked, skilled, experienced and qualified staff across Melbourne and we’re the only provider to DWES check all of our Out of Home Care staff in addition to the disqualified carer check.
Our registered training organisation (RTO) means that our staff remain up to date and upskill within their area of expertise. We are proud to meet Child Wise standards and be certified as a Child Safe Organisation and be a member of The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare.
