ONCALL is doing everything possible to keep you and our staff safe.

The Coronavirus pandemic is making life in Victoria very uncertain and stressful.  ONCALL is doing everything we can to keep you, and our staff, safe. We have made some changes to the way we deliver support to help keep everyone safe.  This includes:

  • Limiting movement of support workers between participants to reduce the risks of infection.
  • Wearing masks every time we leave the house, including in our office and when workers come to support you.
  • Contacting participants and their families more often to check if they are ok and offering any help we can.
  • Offering new services that might help people while they’re at home, including domestic cleaning, delivering groceries so people don’t need to go out and transporting people to get to appointments.

The Victorian Government has announced we need to wear masks when we leave our home. National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) announced that providers can claim from participant plans for the cost of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We want to let you know that ONCALL won’t claim extra funds from your plan for the masks your support workers need to wear every time they deliver support to you.

NDIA also announced some extra funding options for people who might have Coronavirus and for people who have Coronavirus. This includes the option for ‘deep cleaning’ and extra funds for people who live in Supported Independent Living. We will discuss these options with you, if or when it is needed.
