Our skills development program for NDIS participants is all about getting out into your community. Some people want to be around their home base and that’s fine, but some people want to get out into the community and join in activities that interest them.
Once your goals are set out in your NDIS plan, we can be there to help you get out into the community, try new things, and reach your full potential. We want to be there to see you increase your independence, and work with you to achieve your personal goals. We will assist you to work towards securing further opportunities, including supported employment, open employment or volunteering.
Family, friends and support networks and are such an important part of your community, we’ll be there to help you build stronger, enduring connections and develop good communication with your community. Skills that will enable you achieve the goals you set out in your NDIS plan and to create strong community connections and enjoy genuine participation and inclusion in your preferred community so you can:
Maintain your capacity to participate in community life
Facilitate and promote opportunities for ongoing learning and personal development
Develop your involvement and participation in the community
Support you to develop and sustain social interactions and participate in the community
