Residential Team Leadership Opportunities, Disability Services

We are now seeking to appoint exceptional Team Leaders to support the ongoing and outstanding services we provide to our clients based in Melbourne's' East and North Eastern suburbs.  

All residents have their own unit and require ongoing support from our professional and qualified teams to maintain routines and in turn, consistently meet goals.  It will be your role to lead by example and continuously provide the best possible support to our clients who have complex intellectual disabilities to achieve their goals.

These challenging leadership positions require individuals who are positive, possess a calm demeanour and who have demonstrated experience with behaviours of concern. You will be required to engage with participants; all the while, assisting residents to maintain their daily and weekly routines, attending their scheduled appointments, community access and individual programs. To be considered, you will possess the following:
  • Experience in managing a team of staff
  • Experience working with clients with complex needs
  • Experience in working in an “active support framework” service
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Willingness and an undertaking to participate in the DWES
  • A Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent (mandatory)
  • A Diploma in Disability (highly regarded)
  • Experience and qualifications in Mental Health (highly regarded)
  • Management training and experience (mandatory)
  • Level 2 First Aid and Certificate in Administering Mediation (Mandatory)
  • Current Police and WWCC
  • Valid Victorian Drivers Licence
