Menu Work-life balance
We understand everyone’s situation is unique. We do our best to accommodate each person’s specific needs and provide a flexible work environment. We have many family friendly roles in most areas around Melbourne and casual employment gives you the ultimate flexibility in the hours you work.
We invest in our staff
We will support you with advancing your career, including specialised training through ONCALL Training College. We provide ongoing support, professional development, best practise advice, refresher courses, client specific and accredited training to ensure you will continue to excel in your role.
Supporting the support
We check in with our staff on a regular basis in different ways: Keep you updated on important stuff, ask you for your feedback through surveys and research, encourage all of our staff to have input in how we can do things better, and we always recognise our people through our staff reward and recognition program.
Once your application has been submitted you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt.
You will be asked questions to find out a little bit more about you, your work history and hands on support and your motivation for applying.
Your application will be assessed by one of our Recruitment Consultants against our capability requirements and key selection criteria and shortlisted for interview.
You will be asked to discuss in more detail your knowledge and experience through a series of behavioural based questions and quizzes and you will complete a simple language, literacy and numeracy test.
You will need to supply two references, current Police Check and WWCC and agree to a DWES and Carers Register check. We will also ask for copies of your qualifications, as well as key training including Medication, First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling.
You will spend the morning on legislation, processes and relevant information a good support worker needs to know. Those who successfully pass the morning assessment will be given an employment contract to sign and after lunch you will meet representatives from each ONCALL business unit.
Congratulations, you have successfully completed the ONCALL recruitment process and are now ready to accept shifts. We hope that you enjoy being part of ONCALL and remind you to update your availability regularly.
