Our story

We have a connection to community services that stretches back decades.

Our founders, Anna and Robert Fleming, began their careers as disability support workers and advocates back in the 1970s before taking the leap in 1993, and establishing Australia’s first labour hire agency dedicated to the disability and welfare sectors in Victoria.

Later in 2005, the founders started ONCALL to deliver specialist labour hire and their person-centred approach to disability and child and youth services. which included individualised support and accommodation options.

And since 2017, we’ve been a registered training organisation, expanding our impact and educational support to ONCALL staff and the industry’s workforce.

In 2020, we became ONCALL Group Australia (ONCALL). Today, ONCALL provides a range of tailored support services and accommodation models across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, co-ordinating over 2,000 casual field staff for hundreds of industry organisations. ONCALL continues to grow nationally and is working toward the delivery of more support and services to more people in more places.

Our positive relationships with individuals, other services and Government, has gained ONCALL a reputation for saying ‘yes’ to clients and finding innovative ways to provide high quality, individual support services regardless of the complexity of their needs.
With constantly changing policy settings in both the disability and child/youth services space, ONCALL continues to work closely with all our stakeholders to improve and adapt our services to make sure our clients’ needs are always at the forefront.

A plan for growth

Anna and Robert always dreamed of providing support and services to the greatest number of people they could. What began as an idea for two passionate disability support workers in Melbourne in the 1970s is now destined to improve the lives of people right around the country

In January 2020, ONCALL got ready to expand our services to other parts of Australia. We partnered with Pemba Capital Partners and Mark Summerhayes, Robert Haybittel and Tom Matthews who joined Anna and Robert as our Board members.

The Board and Management team prepared the organisation to expand and by March 2021 we announced a partnership with Ablecare in Queensland. This is our first step towards providing our tailored support nationally, and most importantly, in a way that holds true to our core values and commitment to excellence.

In 2022 ONCALL extended their services to New South Wales, providing high quality casual staff support to industry organisations.
